Rubric for Mindmeister Technology Badge
Create a Map Create a main topic with at least 5 relevant points branching off of it (e.g., a main topic of “Abraham Lincoln” with the 5 points being “Life,” “Legacy,” “Presidency,” “Civil War,” and “Beliefs”).
Creating Connections Create at least one relevant connection between topics using an arrow (e.g., putting an arrow from “Emancipation Proclamation” to “Freed Slaves Migrate North”).
Embedding Content
Add a Link to a Video Add a link to at least 1 relevant video to your map (e.g., a video on the life of Lincoln).
Add a Link Add at least 1 relevant link to a website to your map (e.g., a site about the life of Lincoln).
Add an Image or Icon Add 1 relevant image or icon to your map (e.g., a picture of a camera to signal a link to a picture). Upload 1 other image from your computer (e.g., a picture of Lincoln).
Add a Note Add 1 relevant note to the map (e.g., Lincoln was the first president in America to be assassinated).
Add a Task Add 1 task with appropriate completion, priority, and due date.
Present Create a presentation of your mind map in MindMeister that includes at least 5 slides and 2 transition types. This presentation must demonstrate your completion of each of the badge requirements explained above.
Screencast Create a screencast of your presentation.
Submit Work
Portfolio Create a sub-page under your website portfolio page and label it “MindMeister.” Embed your screencast to this page.
